RFID Gen 2 Reader Protocol Q

I am developing a new RFID Gen 2 Reader and have several question on the
protocol. Is there a tag supplier that is more open with the protocol than
can be found in the EOCglobal spec? I am having problems with making the
commands an even multiple of bytes so I can easily calculate the CRC16 and
CRC5 needed for the basic opening commands of Select and Query.
